THE JOURNEY OF 002/60

After 14 years of playing rugby for Harlequins and England, David Cooke followed up on his childhood love of racing cars and took up Historic Car Racing in 1997 - a sport and hobby which quickly became a passion.

David found and built a number of racing car projects over the last 20 years including: 

1934 Alfa Romeo 6c 

1965 Mk1 GT40

1958 GT version of a Ferrari 250TR

1964 Lotus 11 GT "The Lotus Breadvan"

David was looking for another Historic Racing Car project when he read about the story of the Gachnang Brothers and their racing team SCUDERIA CEGGA.

In 2016 David found they were still living in Switzerland now in their 80's and still building cars. 

​

The journey of 002/60 to race again had started.
